Nets and Celtics discuss blockbuster trade

The Nets and Celtics are engaged in blockbuster trade talks that would send Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce to the Nets, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.

In exchange for Garnett and Pierce, the Nets would send Kris Humphries, Gerald Wallace, Tornike Shengelia, and three future first-round draft picks to the Celtics. No deal is imminent.

The deal couldn't officially be completed until after the moratorium ends on July 10th because Paul Pierce's 2013-14 salary is needed to make it work.

According to sources, Garnett has not been approached about the trade and whether or not he would waive his no trade clause to come to Brooklyn and play his final seasons with the likes of Deron Williams, Joe Johnson, Brook Lopez, and his close friend Paul Pierce. He would also get the opportunity to play under another future Hall of Famer, Jason Kidd.
