New Brooklyn Nets coach, Jason Kidd, called last season's team "vanilla". He thinks the team lacked flare and spice. However, with the new acquisitions of Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, Jason Terry and Andrei Kirilenko, Kidd thinks that this team has a completely new identity. Kidd is completely right in that the Nets needed an identity makeover. It's hard to argue against the claims that the Nets were "soft" and "heartless" considering that they lost to a Chicago Bulls plagued with injuries in a game 7 at home. Whether the team meshes together, that remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure; the Nets will be a more exciting, enthusiastic and smart team going into the 2013-2014 NBA season.
