Celebrity game:

Kevin Hart would go on to lead the west and win his second consecutive MVP, finishing with 5 points, 3 rebounds, an assist and a hilarious acceptance speech.

Kevin Heart on his victory:

“My stature is somewhat amazing,” Hart said. “Everyone who thinks I’m small then looks at my chest and says, ‘Oh my god he is such a man.’ I could have gone the NBA route. I chose to go to comedy because it’s fun.”

Rising Stars

Kenneth Faried took home the MVP, scoring 40 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. But Kyrie Irving was the talk of the night, dropping Detroit Pistons point guard Brandon Knight on a beautiful crossover and step-back. The game featured four Cleveland Cavaliers whose fans are hoping this is a sign for a bright future led by Irving. Minnesota Timberwolves' Alexey Shved showed off some highlight dunks throughout the game as well. Team Chuck ended up winning 163-145 with help from tremendous three-point shooting. They hit 17-32 from downtown and even Anthony Davis and Kenneth Faried connected from long range. Overall, the game wasn't even close but it was pretty entertaining.

Sears Shooting Stars

Brook Lopez participated with the teammates of Tamika Catchings and Mugsy Bouges but did not make it out of the first round. His team lost to Chris Bosh, Swin Cash, and Dominique Wilkins who had a winning time of one minute and twenty-nine seconds.

Taco Bell Skill Challenge

Damian Lillard, Brandon Knight, Jrue Holiday, Tony Parker, Jeff Teague and Jeremy Lin were the participants. Rookie Lillard won the challenge with a winning time of 29.8 seconds. Poppie Simmons was also awarded an $25,000 scholarship from the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Houston.

Foot Locker Three-Point Contest

Ryan Anderson, Stephen Curry, Steve Novak, Kyrie Irving and Matt Bonner were the contestants for this match-up. Irving won in the final round against Bonner, winning with 23 points out of the possible 30 from deep after getting just 17 points in the first round.

Sprite Slam Dunk Contest

Former New Jersey Net Gerald Green

What was supposed to be a dunk contest for the ages turned out to be a disappointment. With the contestants being Gerald Green, Terrence Ross, Eric Bledsoe, James White and Jeremy Evans. one would expect spectacular dunks throughout. Instead, there were several, several misses. Contestants shot around 28% in a DUNK contest. James White and Gerald Green were both unable to convert on their second dunks. To the right, you see Gerald Green starting the competition off with a great first dunk. But the contest lost hype while the participants failed to make their dunks. The intensity picked up in the final round between Jeremy Evans and Terrence Ross. Evans dunked over a self painted portrait of himself as well as a throwing down a lob with one hand in the final round. However, Terrence Ross won with a between the legs dunk over a kid as well as a tribute dunk to Dunk Contest legend Vince Carter that even Kevin Garnett found dirty.

All Star Game 

ASG MVP

 Chris Paul showed why he is the best point guard in the league finishing with a stat line of 20 points, 15 assist, and 4 steals. You would think he was a magician with the way he handled and dished out passes for monster-like jams. One could argue that the highlight of the night was Kobe Bryant's defense on LeBron James down the stretch, including blocking one of his jumpers. But that might have been the only defense in the game. The game was close throughout but the intensity picked up immensely in the final quarter. Kobe and LeBron looked like they were making things personal with their play and ultimately Kobe won that small battle. Our very own Brook Lopez finished 3 points, 3 assists, and 5 rebounds.
