Deron Williams Returns to Dallas

Tonight, Deron Williams and the Nets will play  in Dallas for the first time after the new assembling in Brooklyn. During the free agency period last year, many people include myself thought that Deron Williams would sign with the Dallas Mavericks. They had a superstar in Dirk Nowitzki, good pieces that meshed with the team and Rick Carlise as the coach. But two things happened. One, Joe Johnson was traded to the Nets. Two, Mark Cuban was absent at the meeting which turned out to be the swaying factor. Now the Nets are fourth place in the eastern conference and the Dallas Mavericks are three games behind the final playoff spot. There is time left but i'm sure Dallas would be in the playoff race if Williams signed and the Dallas fans display nothing but bitterness. Williams used to get cheers but now he expects a lot of boos.
"Usually I get cheers. Now I’ll probably get booed.I don’t know why,”It’s not like I was ever on the team.”
The Mavericks beat the Nets in Brooklyn which turned out to be a pivotal game in the standings. Williams and the Nets feel like they owe them the same fate.
Yeah, it’s a tough game. We definitely owe them one too because they came and got one from us from home, only a couple weeks ago. So hopefully we’ll take this win and build on it and bounce back.”
Williams scored 24 points last game but laid an egg on their home floor. In the possible hostile environment  he will have to top that especially with the way Dirk Nowitzki has been playing for the last five games. He has averaged 20 points on 50% shooting and also 9 nine rebounds to go along. The Nets will have their hands full but it will be fun to watch. Tip off starts at eight o clock on ESPN.
