Trade rumors a minor distraction for Jason Terry

Jason Terry isn't letting the trade rumors get to him too much.

The Brooklyn Nets have conjured quite a stir with the multitude of trade and signing rumors going on. They've managed to get into talks about Jarrett Jack, Jordan Hill, and now even Marcus Thornton. But one person who seems to always be a part of these trade talks is shooting guard Jason Terry.

Given his experience in the league, he's learned that this is a part of the game; a part of the NBA business. While he's not exactly sitting there nervous about his future, if any moves were to happen, it's clear that he'd rather have any moves done sooner than later. Rod Boone of Newsday quoted the following from the shooting guard.
"You are not sure if it is going to happen either way," Terry said. "But for me, if it is, I'd rather know than just being in limbo for two or three days, especially at this point of my career. Then, you can better prepare yourself for it and then just move on. That's what it is."
Terry did admit that it would be disappointing if the Nets did trade him. He had said during the beginning of his tenure as a Brooklyn Net that he could see the Nets winning this year's championship. Regardless, the veteran guard understands its a business. That doesn't mean it won't have an affect however. Deron Williams added his point of view on the subject of being thrown around in trade rumors.
"I think so," Deron Williams said. "People like to say it doesn't wear on them, but if your name is being thrown out there, it's hard not to think about it. Especially if you have a family and you've got to uproot your family. There's a lot to think about. So, it's definitely tough and I think once the deadline passes, it will be good for us."
While Jason Kidd did what he does to avoid adding substance to these trade rumors, Reggie Evans, who has also been mentioned in these potential trades, looks as if he's unfazed. When asked about his thoughts, he jokingly replied with, "Shoot. I'm a Brooklyn Net. No. 30."

But as Williams mentioned, it's hard not to think about your future when your name is being thrown around.
