Throwback Video of the Day - 8/25/12

Today's video goes back to the ABA days, 1976 to be exact. The ABA was a league known for its flash and style, as well as highlight dunks. The ABA was the first league to have a slam dunk contest, which gained lots of interest from fans of both the ABA and NBA. The NBA would eventually adopt the slam dunk contest and make it a part of its all-star weekend. In this video, we see the Nets very own Julius Erving throw down a slam from the free throw line, something unheard of at the time.
