Maturity and healthiness have been two of the biggest concerns for newly signed center Andray Blatche. He has been working out several times a day from Monday through Saturday (only once on Saturday) and is hoping to come into season to prove the haters wrong. His past does him no justice, but Billy King says Blatche is currently in the best shape of his career.
If Blatche can stay in shape and keep his head on straight, he could have a major impact in a position that appears the to be the only one with problems. The tweet from Stephenson shows that Blatche is dedicated, ready to disassociate himself from the terrible image he created for himself in Washington. He's shown his potential in the past, and could be a very viable back-up center for the Nets if things go right. So far, so good.
Andray Blatche is in the best shape of his life, King says. His weight is down to 264.
