What Will Teletovic Provide?

That seems to be one of the more unanswerable questions Nets fans have for their star former Euro-player. Teletovic was regarded as the best player in Europe, but the transition from there to the NBA is not smooth. So his production possibilities range from bust to starting power forward depending on his development and how is skills mold with the Nets needs.

Tim Bontemps from the New York Post takes a stab at what we as Nets fans should expect to see from Mirza Teletovic moving on. Bontemps is currently answering the fans' top ten questions as training camp approaches and this happens to be #5 on the list.

Below are a couple of quotes from the article.

On how to describe Teletovic:
Well, for starters, he’s a scorer. He’s consistently put up numbers at every stop he’s made over the course of his career, both in domestic and international competition. In fact, Teletovic is the definition of the “stretch four” that has become coveted across the NBA over the past several seasons, averaging over 35 percent from 3-point range each of the past five years.
 On his position:
At 6-foot-9 and 240 pounds, Teletovic isn’t going to be able to play small forward, and he’s also been on the record saying that he’s not that comfortable playing at center – and he’s probably too small to play there in anything more than a brief cameo this season. So, that means that he’s going to have to earn his minutes at power forward, where the Nets are as deep as any position on the roster.
