Breaking Down the Nets "Leaked" Uniforms

Well, the uniforms have leaked yet again. To be honest, it wasn't smart to set the release date for after the release of NBA2K13. Not your best move, Yormark. The uniforms are expected to be unveiled tomorrow at the first event at Barclays, the Jay-Z concert, and will be worn by the players for the first time on Monday morning at media day. So lets get to the uniforms....

The following picture shows Joe Johnson in probably the best shot of the Jersey, and its consistent to what we've been hearing.

It has Brooklyn on the chest as opposed to "Nets", that shows you managements mindset as to where they want to take their brand. It is very simplistic, not many elements in the design. The one that appears to stand out the most is the collar. Is it a V-Neck or a U-Neck? It appears to be a regular collar with a "V" stitched in, not something I have seen before in the NBA. However in the previously leaked uniforms from the Adidas employee shows a regular V-Neck, so there is an inconsistency there. There is a black stripe down the side, a vital element to the design in my opinion, it brings it all together. The stripe is rumored to have a herringbone pattern on the road uniforms, it is unclear if that pattern will be on the home uniforms.

Here is the road jersey again...

It is basically the home jersey in in reversed color, and this picture displays the herringbone pattern well. The design of the uniforms is very sleek and a classic look. Simple can sometimes be better, and the Nets nailed it and it can be seen as one of the ten best uniforms in the league.
