Barkley calls the Brooklyn Nets "the best in New York"

Charles Barkley has recently shown his support for the Brooklyn Nets, and with the media appraisal they are receiving and the hype that surrounds New York, any big-time analyst siding with the Nets is a good thing.

Barkley declared the Brooklyn Nets as “the best team in New York” while claiming that the Carmelo-Amar'e duo will fail once again.
"It’s not going to work, and it’s not going to click. I’m not a believer that a leopard can change its spots."
He predicts that the downfall for the Knicks will be their lack of defense and rebounding, despite Chandler's efforts.

As for the Nets, there were much more positives.

He called Brook Lopez and Kris Humphries "underrated" and beamed at the thought of Joe Johnson playing in Brooklyn, claiming that he is more of a role player and should fit right in.
“The problem he had in Atlanta was they expected him to be the best player. The best player (in Brooklyn) is Deron Williams. So I really think that they’re the best team in New York.”
