Brett Yormark is really hitting home with these events. With several events already planned at Barclays (Jay-Z and Beiber concerts, Harlem Globetrotters and World Championship Boxing) Barclays Center will now host musical sensation Lady Gaga. Personally, I despise her and her music, but its still considered a big event and is sure to draw crowds.
Possibly premature, Yormark tweeted that there will be a big artist announcement on Friday, September 7th. Lady Gaga fits the bill for "big artist" and is not on the list of events at Barclays Center already.
She released this information on her Facebook page, having a picture with a list of all the places she plans to sing at. Go down to March 6 and you will see "Brooklyn, NY - Barclays Center".
The Rolling Stones is yet another band that will play at Barclays Center that is not mentioned on their list. They will host two events at Barclays Center in November and two in the London O2 Arena.
Barclays is really set to be an amazing arena, not only for basketball for a variety of aspects of entertainment. Now if only they can finish the building on time.
