Brookyln Nets Digital Advantage


The rise of social media has given sports a new way to market their brand and simultaneously gain new fans globally. Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter play a significant  role towards the digital presence and the Brooklyn Nets take full advantage. Every game the Nets have a segment during halftime called "Wear Brooklyn at" and you see all of the fans who participate on Twitter with pictures. Jayne Bussman-Wise is the digital director of the Nets and Barclays Center and has used all of the techniques. She talks about the importance of connecting to the fans with mobile apps, the possibility of using the up and coming Google Glass, and hash-tag merchandising.
