Third Surgery for Lopez

After two surgeries, Brook Lopez had another surgery on his  right foot. A screw was bent but was immediately replaced . Early in the season Lopez missed seven games but came back strong to finish on a all-star season. The doubters were proved wrong but now he has to to face a new set of criticism which is health.  Foot problems and big men  equate destruction but the Nets staff think otherwise.

Billy King is very confident about Lopez and looks to stay positive about the recurring issue.

"For me, I don't have any concern because it wasn't something that he had pain in [his foot] or it prevented him from playing," King said.

The good thing about this situation is that it was unnoticed by Lopez  until the physical and he has been pain free. The metatarsal bone was fractured in 2011 but Lopez may be lucky this time. The Nets are hoping for Lopez to be ready for basketball activities by August but I'm sure there are going to keep an eye on both of his feet since the Nets are in midst of a new culture change with the hiring of Jason Kidd. Lopez will need to be there if the Nets want to at least improve or even make the postseason.  They do not need another Andrew Bynum especially after signing him to  a 4 year contract for $61 million. Deron Williams might be the franchise player but Lopez is arguably the most important .
