Nets Take Down Magic in Final Game of Home-Stand, 104-96

Coming off of a huge win against the New York Knicks, the Nets welcomed the Orlando Magic to the Barclays Center for the first time this season in the final game of Brooklyn's four game home-stand.

The Nets started off the game allowing Orlando to almost score at will. With Joe Johnson getting hot late in the first, the Nets were able to hang around with the Magic, despite Orlando hitting almost every three pointer they took. Channing Frye found himself wide-open quite often, and he went into halftime with 10 points.

One positive for the Nets in the first half was the amount of turnovers they forced. Orlando turned the ball over eight times in the half, but the Magic were still able to go to halftime with a 52-50 lead.

Nikola Vucevic had no plans to take it easy on the Nets. He had 27 points on 13-19 shooting as well as twelve rebounds in the game. 17 of those points came in the third quarter alone. He was abusing Brook Lopez all game long, and this isn't the first time we've seen Lopez struggle against European big men.

Though they started off slow in the fourth quarter, the Nets were able to pull away from Orlando with a late 13-3 run that gave them the first double-digit lead of the game. Led by Bojan Bogdanovic's 22 points and six rebounds, Brooklyn was able to pull off a 104-96 win.

Deron Williams continued his stellar play so far this season against Orlando, putting up 18 points on 7-12 shooting and dishing out seven assists. It's still early in the season, but it looks like the D-Will the Nets traded for back in 2011 has finally arrived. He has more spring in his step, and he is back to being quick enough to blow by defenders and get to the rim. His confidence in his shot seems to be higher than it has ever been with the Nets.

Brook Lopez (12 points, five rebounds, three blocks) and Joe Johnson (13 points, five rebounds, four assists) both had below par games. Mason Plumlee, on the other hand, came off of the bench and put up a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Next up, the Nets (4-2) travel to Arizona to take on the Phoenix Suns (3-3) on Wednesday night.

Final Score: 104-96 Nets
Most Disappointing Stat of the Game: Nets shooting 28 percent from three
Promising Stat of the Game: Bojan Bogdanovic 22 points on 9-12 shooting
Scariest Moment of the Game: Nets getting off to slow start in third quarter
