Nets Clinch Playoff Berth

The Brooklyn Nets have finally clinched a playoff spot for the first time since 2007 last night after the Philadelphia 76ers lost in Denver. In the last five season's, the Nets record was at 126 wins and 268 losses and two more wins will clinch the first winning season since 2006. The city of Brooklyn is happy but this is nothing to the Nets organization.

Majority Owner Mikhail Prokhorov :
“Of course I’m pleased the Nets have made the playoffs, but I can’t say I’m surprised. We have a lot of talent which is really coming together now and starting to gel. I am confident that the team’s best days on the court are still ahead."
General Manager Billy King:
"Making the playoffs is great for our fans and the organization. Now we need to continue getting better as a team."
The general consensus with the team it to ultimately win a championship. Prokhorov expects a championship within three years but the reality is, the Nets have to get their first and the Miami Heat will be in the way for years to come. This will be the first playoff appearance for Brook Lopez and he will be the key along with Deron Williams and Joe Johnson moving forward. Meanwhile, the Nets are looking to rise in the Eastern Conference standings and hopefully win the Atlantic Division.
