A home opener against the Miami Heat will be something to watch considering all the hype the Nets have surrounding them. With Doc Rivers, statements and other respectable people stating they can beat the Heat, I'm sure LeBron James and his teammates are taking notice. Nothing is set though but according to a source working with Daily News it is in the works.
The Nets have lost to the Miami Heat 17 straight times which goes all the way back to the year of 2008. On the bright side, Jason Terry,Paul Pierce, and Kevin Garnett know how to beat Miami and they take pleasure in doing so. Plus Terry say's he has something other players in the league do not.
“I’m not concerned (about Miami),” Terry said. “We have the formula. Jason Kidd and I are the only ones to crack that code.”Jason Kidd might not be there due to a possible suspension but the Nets have enough talent to make it a game. Winning all comes down to chemistry but it will only be the first week of the NBA season so it shouldn't be a big deal if they lose.Getting rid of that abysmal streak will be a great look for the team, and the city of New York though.
