This week's throwback video goes back to a preseason game on October 25th, 2002. The New Jersey Nets were hosting the New York Knicks and ultimately put them to rest with a 106-77 beat down.
The current Nets squad has been called out by the coach, fans, and even the players for not playing with enough urgency or energy. The passion for the sport is lacking and it is what dooms them when the team begins to fall behind. This squad, the 2002 one, lead by Jason Kidd, Kenyon Martin and Richard Jefferson, did NOT lack energy. They played with their hearts on their sleeves, and it doesn't hurt that Jefferson and Martin were both very athletic and talented.
And that energy and athleticism brought us the former Lob City. Enjoy.
