It was the trade that Nets fans will never forget. On February 19, 2008, the New Jersey Nets traded franchise-changing point guard Jason Kidd, and the Nets took back a young, up-and-coming Devin Harris to replace Kidd.
In his debut, Harris didn't hesitate to let the fans see that they didn't send their franchise player to Dallas for a scrub. He posted 21 points and five assists in just 21 minutes against the Milwaukee Bucks, and this was the start to a short-lived era where Harris was being mentioned as one of the best point guards in the game. He became an All-Star for the Nets in the 2008-2009 season, his first full season in a Nets uniform.
