Brooklyn extends home win streak to 13 with win over Minnesota

Brooklyn victorious over Timberwolves for 13-straight at home.

It's good to be home. After going 1-2 in their latest road trip, the Brooklyn Nets return to the Barclays Center to host Kevin Love and the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Nets extended their 13-game home win streak tonight with a 114-99 victory.

The Nets were in control for most of the first half and took a 59-54 lead into halftime.

13-2 run by Minnesota to open the second half. Early foul trouble as Paul Pierce and Deron Williams found themselves each with four personal fouls in the third quarter. Shaun Livingston and Paul Pierce helped weather the storm as Minnesota took their largest lead six points in the third quarter.

The Nets took control of the game in the fourth quarter with multiple emphatic dunks by Mason Plumlee. Brooklyn finally got the crowd involved .

Brooklyn established their lead with back-to-back three pointers by Alan Anderson to extend the Brooklyn lead to 98-88. The Nets settled in and found themselves on a 20-7 run in the fourth quarter put the game away. The Nets have scored over 100 points in eight-straight games.

The Nets held Kevin Love to less than a double-double as he finished with 14 points and nine rebounds.

With a New York Knicks loss tonight against the Golden State Warriors, the Nets clinch a playoff berth.

The Nets finish the month of March with a 12-4 record. Coach Kidd is a serious candidate for Coach of the Month honors for March.
