Today, at 6 P.M., the entire 2014-2015 Nets schedule, along with the rest of the NBA, was released on a special on NBATV.
The Nets will be opening on October 29 in Boston, and will be hosting Oklahoma City on November 3 for their home opener. Both games will begin at 7:30 PM.
Key games for this upcoming season include:
- The Nets will play the Knicks for the first metting between the two teams on November 7 in Brooklyn. The first game in Manhattan will be on December 2.
- Ex-coach Jason Kidd returns to Brooklyn on November 19. Expect boos.
- The Nets first game against the defending champion San Antonio Spurs will be on November 22 in San Antonio.
- LeBron James makes his first appearence in Barclays Center as a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers on December 8.
- The Nets will first meet the Raptors on December 17 in Toronto in a rematch of the highly exciting first round playoff series from last year.
- Nets coach Lionel Hollins returns to Memphis on February 10.
- The newly renamed Charlotte Hornets visit Brooklyn once - March 4.
Some interesting notes about the team’s 2014-2015 campaign:
- The Nets will have only 10 nationally televised games, down from 26 last year. Two will be on ESPN, two on TNT, and 6 on NBATV.
- The Nets won't have any home games between February 7 and March 1, due to an 8 game road-trip, spanning the All-Star break.
- In a bit of a surprising move, the Nets will not be playing the Knicks on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, as they have the past two years.
