Short-handed Heat Hand Nets Fourth Consecutive Loss

Against a Miami Heat team without Dwyane Wade, Luol Deng and Josh McRoberts, it was expected that the Nets would be able to pull out a victory, Miami had other plans. The first half was very low scoring and there wasn't much to make of it. Nets had a slim 43-38 lead at the half.

The second half was an absolute disaster for the Nets. Coming off their three game west roadtrip, coming home seemed like the perfect ingredient for a bounce back win. Brooklyn looked very sluggish and slow on offense and played terrible defense.

The Nets big three struggled very mightily tonight. Brook Lopez, Deron Williams and Joe Johnson combined to score 25 points on 8/30 shooting. Just a terrible showing for the Nets big three. Lopez continues to struggle and you can see he is getting very frustrated with his play.

The lone bright spot of the night for the Nets was rookie Bojan Bogdanovic who had another stellar game. The rookie finished with 22 points on 8/11 shooting, tying his career high in points. Bogdanovic continues to make improvements and there's a great chance he can win rookie of the year.

Mario Chalmers was the high man for Miami scoring 22 points and dishing out 5 assists. He continued to get by Deron Williams and draw contact as Chalmers got to the free throw line numerous times tonight. Chalmers finished 11/13 from the line.

The free throw line was the biggest weakness of the Nets tonight, They came into the game with the second highest free throw percentage in the NBA. It didn't show tonight as they finished 16/26 from the line while the Heat shot 24/27 from the line.

Next up for Brooklyn will be Wednesday night at Barclays Center against, who else, Jason Kidd's Milwaukee Bucks.

Final Score: 95-83 Heat
Most Disappointing Stat of the Game: 16/26 shooting from the free throw line
Promising Stat of the Game: Bojan Bogdanovic's 22 points
Scariest Moment of the Game: The third quarter
Best Moment of the Game: None
