Brooklyn Nets to Unveil New Mascot and Anthem

Word about a new mascot has been shushed for the majority of the season, but the Nets have announced that they will reveal their new super-hero themed mascot as well as a new mascot.

Previously, the Nets had acknowledged that the new mascot would be designed by Marvel Comics. Seeing that Seeing that the team is from Brooklyn, fans have presumed that the mascot would be a Knight, and called the Brooklyn Knight, a pun off of a resident of Brooklyn called a Brooklynite. NetsDaily has said that sources are saying that it will indeed be a Knight.

The all-new Nets have decided that they also need to bring out a new anthem. The new anthem has been written by John Forté and is named "Brooklyn: Something To Lean On".

Both were planned to be revealed at the Nets home opener with the Knicks, but due to Hurricane Sandy that game was postponed and the new home opener for the team will be tomorrow, against the Toronto Raptors.
