Deron Williams not using injury as an excuse

SETH WENIG/AP
Deron Williams has been on and off this season, literally and on the court. He's missed a few games with an injury, as also played poorly in games he has, and has also played well. In a talk with the media today, Williams told the public that he is currently dealing with an injury, but he did not want to get too detailed about it.
It seems as if Williams is always injured nowadays. Generally its been an issue with his ankles, but again we can't say for sure since he never specified.

Is he using this injury as an excuse? It does not look like it. He merely mentioned that he was injured and moved on. If he truly was going to pin any struggles on his injury, he would likely go more in-depth, maybe whine a bit, and then move on.

But he did not. No matter how much you despise Williams, you cannot turn this statement and make it so that he's making excuses. Injuries happen, its part of the game, and it is unfortunate that it keeps coming back to bite him.
