In a day that has been dominated by trade rumors between the Nets and Celtics, an addition has been made to the Nets' coaching staff. According to reports, former New Jersey Nets head coach Lawrence Frank, most recently the head coach of the Detroit Pistons, has agreed to join Jason Kidd's coaching staff as his lead assistant. This first reported by Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN.
Kidd made a public endorsement for Frank to come to Brooklyn during his press conference, so it was a given that Frank would find his way back to the Nets. Frank coached the Nets from 2003-2009 when he was fired after the team started the season 0-16 under his command.
It was previously reported that the Raptors' Eric Hughes and Roy Rogers are also set to join Kidd's staff.
