Nets fans, say hello to your newest Brooklyn Net. Mason Plumlee, a 6'10" center from Duke, averaged a double-double with 17.1 points and 10 rebounds per game in the 2013 season.
The Nets get a natural athlete in Plumlee, something they lacked last season. This pick could turn out to be a very good one by Billy King. The Nets now have a backup center, allowing Andray Blatche to play power forward if he elects to re-sign.
Coach Jason Kidd calls Plumlee a "coach's dream," so it seems like Kidd is a fan of the pick and will develop and use him properly.
