Paul Pierce Expected to Miss 2-4 Weeks With a Fracture In His Right Hand

The injuries just keep piling on for this team.

Brooklyn Nets' forward Paul Pierce is expected to miss 2-4 weeks after being diagnosed with a non-displaced fracture of the third metacarpal of the right hand, as reported by the Brooklyn Nets.

The injury supposedly occurred sometime during the first half of the loss to the Houston Rockets on November 29th. Pierce sat out the next game against the Grizzlies because of a "bruised right hand". In the fifteen games that Pierce has played this season, he's averaging a career-low 12.4 point per game on a career-low 36.8% shooting. This is the first season in which Pierce is shooting less than 40% from the field, ever.

As Lopez and Kevin Garnett returned to the lineup, Paul Pierce joins Deron Williams, Jason Terry and Andrei Kirilenko on the sidelines. Alan Anderson will replace Pierce at this point in the season.
