Deron Williams Will Skip the Trip To London

RON ANTONELLI/NEW YORK DAILY NEWS
Deron Williams will miss the game in London as he stays back in the United States to continue resting up his ankles. By the time the Nets play their next game in the USA, it will be January 20th, when they take on the New York Knicks.
This will give him at least a total of 15 days of rest since the treatment on his ankles. It's still uncertain if he plays against the Knicks when the Nets return, but keep in mind last time he had platelet rich plasma (PRP) injections, he returned within eight days. Whether or not he could play in London is no longer an option, and its best that he stays at home rather than run around with the team as they play in another continent.

So far, the team has gone 3-1 in his absence with big wins over some talented teams. With Williams missing more time, Shaun Livingston will have to continue playing well as the Nets look to keep winning in 2014.

For the season, Williams has averaged 13.6 points, 6.9 assists, and 2.2 rebounds in about 30 minutes a game, all significant drops since last season.
