Williams: "I'm Not an All-Star"

Deron Williams has never shied away from telling what was on his mind. Earlier in the year, he spoke on many reasons resulting in his poor play.  Just recently, he was asked if he should participate in the upcoming all-star game and here is what he said.
"I just think there's people playing much better than me"
Under P.J. Carlesimo, Williams has been playing like the all-star we have grown to see, shooting at least 48 percent from deep and just playing better overall. But he has not been consistent this season.  Players like Kyrie Irving and Jrue Holiday have been playing much better than him and either of them deserve their first all-star appearance. Rajon Rondo will obviously be the starter so there will be no room left but Deron Williams is still an better guard than Irving and Holiday.

Though it would be nice to have an all-star representing the borough, Deron Williams missing the game would benefit. He will have time to rest in stead of playing in an exhibition.

If the NBA needs a player from the Nets, Brook Lopez wouldnt mind . He is the main reason for the the Nets resurgence.
