Nets vs Raptors Recap: Seven Straight!

The first half was far from pretty. Both teams would trade baskets but it would be in the Toronto Raptors favor. The Nets offense did not feature Brook Lopez in the post and they would suffer shooting jump-shots. They would shoot 39 percent from the field early but hang around with free throws, shooting 15 of 18 in the half. The Nets and Raptors were both in foul trouble and the pace was boring for half the second quarter. Their was an time where the Nets were 0 and 7 from the field and down by ten but that all changed when Mirza Teletovic entered the game. He would net 10 points in the quarter and get replaced by Damion James who just signed a ten day contract. Brook Lopez picked up his scoring, finishing with 14 at the half and also grabbed 8 rebounds.  Ed Davis bothered the Nets with 10 points and 5 rebounds. The Nets lead by four at the half.

Joe Johnson  opened the second half with a few post up plays on Jose Calderon. That got him going and the Nets would ride him offensively. A couple of defensive stops and three pointers pushed the lead up 7 in the third quarter. Teletovic continued to produce without scoring, putting the ball on the floor and making plays. Both teams would trade baskets until the Nets took control midway the fourth quarter. They were shooting 53 percent from the half and the Nets were clicking on both sides of the ball. Highlights from the Nets ruled the ruled the rest of the quarter. The only threat from Toronto was Kyle Lowry, who scored 21 points in fifteen minutes. Luckily, he didn't play much in the first half. The Nets would win again and keep the streak at seven games.Lopez,Williams, and Johnson scored at least 20. and Lowry lead the raptors with 21.
