Nets Handle Nuggets With Ease

So far, so good. The Nets are 2-0 since the All-Star break. This is back-to-back road wins for Brooklyn after defeating the Lakers in Los Angeles Friday night. This was easily one of the most complete performances I've seen from the Nets this season. A very balanced effort.

Rookie Markel Brown got his first career start in the NBA and he didn't disappoint. The young athletic guard out of Oklahoma St filled up the stat sheet. Recording 45 minutes, 10 points, 11 rebounds, 4 blocks, 2 steals and 2 assists. Brown finally got his chance to shine and he did just that.

The Nets had 7 players that scored in double figures. Including the whole starting lineup. Brooklyn was led by Brook Lopez who dropped 19 points and grabbed 9 rebounds off the bench, Newest Net Thaddeus Young added 15 points and 5 rebounds off the bench as well. Young, so far, is proving to be a very nice addition to this Nets team.

Deron Williams recorded another double-double. Recording 16 points and dishing out 12 assists. Don't get too excited. It was against two lesser opponents in the Lakers and Nuggets, but so far, Deron looks pretty good coming out of the break.

Maybe a younger, more athletic lineup is exactly what the Nets needed. Starting with the acquisition of Young and more minutes for Brown, Lionel Hollins could be on to something. The Nets also agreed to terms with recently bought out forward, Thomas Robinson on a 10 day contract. Gives the Nets a lot more athleticism and youth.

Next up for Brooklyn will be Wednesday night against the New Orleans Pelicans as the Nets look to extend their winning streak to 3 games.

Final Score: 110-82, Nets
Most Disappointing Stat of the Game: NONE
Promising Stat of the Game: 62 points in the paint
Scariest Moment of the Game: NONE
Best Moment of the Game: Cory Jefferson throwing down the hammer!
